We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Indoor Air Quality & Hazardous Materials Project Manager to join our dynamic and collaborative team. Job Description:
This title reports to a Senior Project Manager and would therefore include partial Project Manager roles such as client/project coordination and budget management. You will play a key role in delivering hazardous building material services and indoor air quality assessments/consulting across a wide variety of projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Complete assessments for mould, indoor air quality (IAQ), industrial hygiene, designated substances, and other hazardous materials.
  • Perform inspections of building envelopes, ventilation systems, residential, industrial and commercial spaces.
  • Inspect abatement and restoration contractors undertaking mould, asbestos and other hazardous materials remediation work to document that the work has been properly completed.
  • Conduct onsite air sampling programs (proactive, reactive and sustainability).
  • Technical report review and writing.
  • Submitting timesheets and expenses in a timely manner

Experience and Education:

  • Post-secondary education in any of the following: construction technology, architectural technology, occupational health and safety/hygiene, indoor air quality.
  • WorkSafe BC Certified Asbestos Surveyor would be an asset
  • Minimum 2 years experience in conducting indoor air quality assessments, hazardous materials surveys and abatement monitoring and project management.
  • Experience in construction would be an asset
  • Strong technical report writing skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Availability to work outside or core business hours
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance and car are required (work-related travel will be compensated)
  • Ability to self manage and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Compensation
As a Project Manager, your salary range will be $57,000 – $82,000 – based on experience. A Junior/Senior Project Manager role may also be considered.
