Important update for our clients!
Middle of next month the BC Ministry of Environment and Parks will introduce a redesigned Site Remediation Services (SRS) Web App, replacing the current process of submitting forms by email. This new online platform will serve as the sole method for submitting contaminated site applications, such as Site Disclosure Statements and Contaminated Site Services Applications.
Benefits of the Change
The updated SRS Web App is designed to centralize and simplify the application process. Applicants will be able to complete, submit, and track applications entirely online, with real-time visibility of their status through a user-friendly dashboard. The system will also provide a secure space for communication between applicants, the ministry, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all correspondence and supporting documents remain in one location.
Next Steps?
A Basic or Business BCeID will be required to access the app, and personal BCeIDs will no longer be accepted. You can register for a BCeID here.
We recommend our clients obtain the necessary BCeID well in advance of the launch to avoid delays. |
The Ministry will also be offering instructional materials and webinars to help users become familiar with the new system and its features.
