The National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) 2016 reporting deadline of June 1, 2017 is fast approaching, and Keystone Environmental Ltd. offers the skills, resources and experience to improve your reporting and reduce costs.

Annual reporting to the NPRI is mandatory under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA). The NPRI is Canada’s legislated, publicly accessible online inventory of pollutant releases, including disposals and recycling. Information from the NPRI is used to identify and monitor sources of pollution in Canada, and helps determine whether regulatory action should be conducted to reduce releases.

“If one or more NPRI substances was manufactured, processed or otherwise used at the facility during the year, and the total number of hours worked at the facility exceeded the 20 000 hour employee threshold (approximately 10 full-time employees), you will need to determine the total amount of each NPRI substance at your facility during that calendar year.”      (Environment Canada, 2014)

Keystone Environmental’s trained professionals are familiar with the NPRI reporting framework, and Environment Canada’s Single Window Information Manager (SWIM) online reporting system. We stay up to date with reporting regulations and current reporting requirements. The Keystone Environmental Professional preparing your NPRI report completes over 30 reports each year, and assures you of on-time, on-budget, accurate NPRI reporting. Many of our clients use us for their NPRI reporting because we can put together the information and report more efficiently than their own internal systems.
